This article explains the expected behaviour and what information to provide if you experience more frequent logouts.

Logging In on Desktop and Mobile Devices

Desktop and mobile devices maintain separate login sessions. You may therefore need to log in independently on each device.

For example, logging in on your desktop computer does not automatically log you in on your mobile device.

24-Hour Session Limit

Users are required to log in again every 24 hours for security reasons.

Being active in the system does not extend a session indefinitely beyond this limit. When your session expires, log in again to continue working.

Screen Lock After 30 Minutes of Inactivity

If you are inactive for 30 minutes, the system activates a screen lock to help protect your account from unauthorised access.

If no further interaction occurs, the session eventually expires and you are automatically logged out.

Please note: The 30-minute threshold applies to the screen lock. It does not mean that you will always be logged out at exactly 30 minutes.

Automatic Redirection When a Session Expires

Previously, a page could remain visible after a session had expired, making it appear that you were still logged in.

The new system detects expired sessions and automatically redirects you to the login screen. This makes it clearer when you need to log in again.

How Activity Affects Your Session

Sessions are managed based on user activity. Simply leaving EasyTaxiOffice open does not keep your session active indefinitely.

For example, if an operator leaves the system open while away from their desk, the screen locks after 30 minutes of inactivity. If the operator remains inactive, the session eventually expires.

These changes are intentional security measures rather than a browser-related issue.

What to Do If You Are Logged Out More Frequently

If you are logged out more frequently than described above, or while actively using the system, contact support so the behaviour can be investigated.

Please include:

  • Time spent inactive: How long were you inactive before being logged out?
  • Activity at the time: Were you actively using the system when the logout occurred? If so, what were you doing?
  • Time between logins: How much time typically passes before you are asked to log in again?
  • Affected devices: Does this happen on desktop, mobile, or both?
  • What appears on screen: Do you see a screen lock first, or are you redirected straight to the login screen?

For example:

“I logged in on my desktop at 9:00 am and was redirected to the login screen at 9:20 am while editing a booking. I did not see a screen lock first. This has happened twice today.”

These details help support determine whether the behaviour is expected or whether a separate issue needs investigation.
