To set up SMTP connection with Gmail, go to Settings > Mail and set options as shown in the example below. You will need to replace example data with your own username and app password.

Example configuration:
Connection type: SMTP
SMTP Host: smtp.gmail.com
SMTP Port: 587
SMTP Username: [email protected]
SMTP Password: ••••• (Enter your app password, not your regular Gmail password. See below how to create it)
SMTP Security: TSL

After configuring and saving all the settings according to the example above, you can check if the connection to your email account has been successfully established by sending a test email (Settings -> Mail -> Send a test email). If you see any error messages after sending a test message, please follow the instructions in the FAQs section below.

 

How to create an App Password for Gmail?

  1. Go to your Google Account: https://myaccount.google.com.
  2. Select Security.
  3. Under "Signing in to Google," select 2-Step Verification.
  4. At the bottom of the page, select App passwords.
  5. Enter a name that helps you remember where you'll use the app password (e.g., "EasyTaxiOffice").
  6. Select Generate.
  7. 16-character code will be displayed. This is your app password.
  8. Update the app password in the EasyTaxiOffice admin panel:
    • Open the EasyTaxiOffice admin panel.
    • Go to Settings > Mail.
    • Enter the app password in the SMTP Password field.
  9. Save settings.

Please note that you may need to reload the EasyTaxiOffice app for the changes to take effect.

Once you have created and updated the app password, you should be able to use the EasyTaxiOffice app to send emails without having to enter your regular Gmail password.
