What Is a View?
A View is a saved preset of your current booking list configuration.
A View stores:
- Active filters
- Visible columns and their order
- Sorting (for example, by pickup time)
- Page length (number of records displayed)
Views allow each user to personalize how booking data is displayed — without affecting other users.
Important
Views are saved per user account. They are not automatically shared with other users.
Where Views Are Available
Views are available in:
- Bookings
- Dispatch (booking list tabs)
Each tab has its own independent Views.
For example:
- You can save one View in the All tab.
- A different View in Next 24h.
- Another View in Completed.
Views do not transfer between tabs automatically.
How to Create a View
Step 1: Configure the Booking List
- Apply the required filters
- Adjust visible columns
- Set sorting order
- Select page size
Step 2: Save the View
- Click the Views button.
- Select Save current view.
- Enter a descriptive name (for example, “Night Shift”, “Airport Jobs”, “Finance Review”).
- Click Save.
The View is now available for future use in that tab.
How Views Load
Automatic Loading
- The last activated View in a tab loads automatically when you return to that tab.
- This behavior applies separately to each tab.
Example: If you activate a custom View in Next 24h, it will automatically load every time you open that tab.
System View
The System View restores the default system configuration for that tab.
When selected:
- Custom View auto-loading is disabled for that tab.
- Default sorting and layout are applied.
Use System View when you need to temporarily return to standard system behavior.
How Views Work in Bookings
In Bookings, Views are commonly used to:
- Separate operational and administrative workflows
- Monitor unconfirmed bookings
- Focus on specific accounts or fleets
- Perform financial reviews
- Review completed or cancelled jobs
Important notes:
- Each tab stores its own View configuration.
- The Next 24h tab automatically applies its time window logic (next 24 hours), even without manual date filters.
- Parent bookings are displayed by default; child bookings appear within grouped results.
How Views Work in Dispatch
In Dispatch, Views control how the booking list appears alongside:
- The live driver map
- The booking form panel
Default Dispatch tabs include:
- Next 24h
- Latest
- Completed
- Cancelled
- All
You can save different Views per tab, for example:
- A compact operational View for live dispatching
- A detailed View with pricing and payment columns
- A simplified View for high-volume shifts
Driver-Specific Tabs
When clicking a driver on the map, the system opens a dynamically filtered driver-specific tab.
These driver tabs:
- Are temporary
- Cannot be saved as Views
- Do not store custom View presets
If you need a reusable driver-focused layout, create and save a View inside one of the standard tabs (for example, All) using appropriate filters.
Permissions
Access to the Views feature may depend on user role and system permissions.
If you cannot see the Views button or cannot save a View:
- Contact your system administrator.
- Verify that your role allows booking list customization.
Best Practices
To use Views effectively:
- Create separate Views for different roles (operator, dispatcher, finance).
- Keep operational Views simple and focused.
- Use clear, descriptive names.
- Avoid creating too many similar presets.
- Use System View when troubleshooting or verifying default behavior.
Troubleshooting
View Not Loading?
- Make sure a saved View is selected.
- Check if System View is active.
- Refresh the page.
View Not Saving?
- Confirm you have the correct permissions.
- Ensure you are using a standard tab (not a temporary driver tab).
Summary
Views in Bookings and Dispatch allow users to personalize their workspace and improve operational efficiency.
They help:
- Reduce repetitive configuration work
- Improve visibility of relevant bookings
- Standardize workflows
- Adapt the system to different team roles
When used correctly, Views significantly improve speed, clarity, and control in daily dispatch operations.
