Overview

You can apply automatic fare increases during specific dates and times, such as holidays or rush hours, using the Holiday / Rush Hours Surcharge feature in the EasyTaxiOffice admin panel. This is useful for increasing prices during peak demand periods like Christmas, New Year's Eve, or weekday evening rush hours.

How It Works

This feature allows you to define time-bound fare multipliers that increase the base fare by a specified factor. For example, setting a multiplier of 1.5 for New Year’s Eve will increase all relevant fares by 50% during that time.

Each surcharge entry consists of:

  • Message (Optional): A label such as "Christmas" or "Evening Rush Hour" that helps you identify the surcharge.

  • Action: Always set to Multiply. This means the base fare will be multiplied by the specified factor.

  • Factor Value: The multiplier applied to the fare. For example, enter 1.5 to increase the fare by 50%.

  • From/To: The date and time range when the surcharge is active.

    Important Notes

    • Overlapping Times: If a booking falls within multiple surcharge periods (e.g., night + holiday), all applicable multipliers are combined.

    • Time Zones: All time settings use the time zone configured in your admin panel.

    • One-Time or Recurring: This feature is best used for one-off events or short periods. To set weekly or recurring surcharges, use the Night Surcharge feature instead.

    Use Cases

    • Rush Hours: Apply extra charges during morning and evening commuter hours.
