How Meet & Greet Works
For airport journeys, EasyTaxiOffice can automatically recognise the airport location and display the Meet & Greet option during the vehicle-selection stage of Web Booking.
Meet & Greet can also work with seaport pickups when Seaport Detection is configured.
The behaviour depends on your Web Booking Widget, Airport Detection, and Seaport Detection settings.
Enabling Meet & Greet in Web Booking
To configure the Meet & Greet option:
- Go to Settings.
- Open the Web Booking Widget settings.
- Find the Step 2 Options section.
- Locate the Meet and greet settings.
- Choose whether Meet & Greet should be available to passengers.
- If required, configure Meet & Greet as compulsory.
These settings control whether passengers can select Meet & Greet while making an applicable booking through the Web Booking Widget.
For more information, see Web Booking settings, under Step 2 Options → Meet and greet.
Meet & Greet for Airport Pickups
EasyTaxiOffice uses Airport Detection to recognise airport journeys. Airport locations can be detected using configured postcodes or zones marked as airport zones.
Once an airport journey is detected, airport-related features can be applied, including:
- Meet & Greet services
- Airport meeting points
- Flight details
- Payment restrictions
- Flight tracking, when a supported integration is enabled
Meet & Greet can be enabled globally and made compulsory for airport pickups if required.
For configuration details, see Airport Detection Settings, particularly the Related Features section.
Meet & Greet for Seaport Pickups
Meet & Greet can also be used with journeys detected as seaport jobs.
Seaport Detection can identify a seaport using either a configured postcode or a zone marked as a seaport. Once detected, the booking can use seaport-specific options, including meeting points and Meet & Greet rules.
Meet & Greet can be enabled globally and made compulsory for seaport pickups if required.
See Seaport Detection Settings, under Related Seaport Features.
Meet & Greet Charges
EasyTaxiOffice pricing supports additional charges for extras, including Meet & Greet. Other extras can include parking and child seats.
For an overview of the available pricing options, see Pricing Settings Overview, under Price for extras.
What the Passenger Sees
During the standard Web Booking process, passengers select their journey details in Step 1 and their vehicle in Step 2. For airport journeys, the system automatically recognises the airport location and can display the Meet & Greet option during Step 2 when it is enabled in the settings.
For an overview of the passenger booking process, see How to use Web Booking, under Step 2: Choosing a car.
